Maheera Munir

Research Assistant

Maheera Munir is a Research Assistant at the Centre for Aerospace and Security Studies (CASS), Lahore. She holds an MPhil in International Relations from Kinnaird College for Women. Her areas of interest include foreign policy, conflict and peace, and strategic studies.

Education

She holds an MPhil in International Relations from Kinnaird College for Women, Lahore, where she also completed her Bachelor’s (Hons) in International Relations.

 

Professional Experience

She is a Research Assistant at the Centre for Aerospace and Security Studies (CASS), Lahore, where she undertakes comprehensive research on national security, foreign affairs, and aerospace.

 

Areas of Interest

Her areas of interest include aerospace, foreign policy, international law, conflict analysis, and particularly, the Sino-US strategic competition in the Indo-Pacific region. Her research examines how evolving global power structures and great power rivalries are reshaping the international system.

 

Academic Contributions

Maheera frequently contributes opinion pieces, policy analyses, and editorials to leading print and digital media outlets, offering insights on global security, geopolitical shifts, and strategic affairs. She has authored numerous research publications in prestigious national and international journals, including Strategic Studies and Margalla Papers. Prominent among them is a research paper titled China’s Rise, Global Governance, and Liberal International Order: A Neo-Gramscian Analysis which was published by Margalla Papers in 2024.
