The Centre for Aerospace and Security Studies (CASS), Lahore, became functional on 1st July 2021, and is in the process of establishing itself in order to achieve its aim: to conduct research and provide analyses on aerospace and inter-sectoral security issues. CASS will provide input to policy makers for visionary planning, and will address matters related to military and non-military domains pertaining to matters of national security from a geo-strategic and geo-economic viewpoint.
Our core objectives will revolve around research, analysis and sharing of information, which will highlight innovative plans and ideas for better future governance, policymaking and its implementation. This will be achieved by taking policymakers and civil society on board on a regular basis.
Another important aspect will be to conduct research and spread awareness on the importance of Aerospace Power, its application and especially its close linkage to leading edge technologies which are cost intensive and difficult to acquire. Due to non-availability of advanced technologies to us, self-reliance and indigenization is the most viable solution, which has to be explored for our own advantage.
CASS Lahore will endeavour to play its role to the fullest and contribute as a think tank which is also part of the Advisory Board of Pakistan’s National Security Division. This will be achieved through the use of media, webinars, seminars and all other resources and platforms offered by emerging technologies. We will also foster relationships with partners within the country and abroad.
May Allah help us to achieve our goals to the maintain the highest standards of research to bridge the gap between knowledge and its implementation.
